RECAP: We spent this last weekend with Make-A-Wish Michigan and the hikers that took on their Traiblaze Challenge. There were 38 hikers who raised over $100,000 to make wishes come true! A few of the wish kids and their families were at the event and really, I’m not sure the words to express how incredibly honored and humbled we were to be with this group of people. The love, camaraderie, the positivity and support of one another was something truly magical.
We have been donating $1 from every shirt sale to Make A Wish and will continue to do so through the end of the month. I am committing right now to doing the hike next year and want YOU to join me! Just being in the presence of these incredible humans had a profound effect on me so I can only imagine what it will be like to spend weeks training and fundraising with them, then celebrating at the finish line.
If you are not in Michigan, no worries, there are Trailblaze Challenge’s across the country. If you’ve been a part of one or are planing to join a future hike, let us know! Maybe we can start some fun, internet, happy hiker’s make wish’s come true group and support one another virtually and in person!
